Regular Meeting November 21 2006

BROOKS AND DISTRICT FISH AND GAME ASSOCIATION

Call to Order – 7:30pm
Approval of the Agenda
1.0 Approval of the Minutes from the September 19, 2006 Regular meeting
MOTION – Moved by Cliff Healey to adopt the minutes from the September 19, 2006 Regular meeting as presented, seconded by Rod Rosland. CARRIED.
2.0 Business Arising From the Minutes
2.1 "Use Respect" signs
MOTION – Moved by Patty Green to replace five signs per year and approach the Eastern Irrigation District to provide 50% of the funding, seconded by Jim Johnson. CARRIED.
3.0 New Business
3.1 Rifle Range
– the new "Range Rules" sign will be ordered as presented
– some infractions have been observed – there is a possibility that we may need to install Range Officers and only have the range open at certain times if we cannot correct the situation in other ways
– Pete Green will look into E.I.D. (Landowner) recourse
– Cliff Healey will discuss options with Lynn Springer
– a sign-in book will be added at the range
3.2 Conference volunteers needed
3.3 Donor list – Awards Banquet – Pete Green and Rod Rosland will distribute
3.4 Call for nominations and/or volunteers for Treasurer
3.5 AFGA Conference February 21, 22 & 23, 2007 (Medicine Hat)
3.6 Rod Rosland presented a verbal request for funding for Scouts/youth to attend Hunter Education courses.
MOTION – Moved by Rod Svenson to sponsor kits for Scouts and youth to attend F & G Association sanctioned Hunter Education programs, seconded by Scott Briggs. CARRIED.

– reminder – gun registration amnesty protects long gun owners from prosecution only. Compliance with all regulations regarding licensing and restricted firearm registration is still required.
